It’s all about engagement.
To me, creative and engaged facilitation means cultivating your strengths and skills as a teacher, believing that your students are capable and able, and trusting that we all have something to teach and something to learn.
The learning environments that I have been convening over the last twenty-years are spaces that privilege every voice, leave room for inspiration and curiosity, invite creativity and play, and look to process just as much as outcome.
Over the last twenty years, I have utilized engaged learning practices to work with non-profit teams, undergrad and graduate students, politicians in citywide conferences, youth in under-resourced school districts, and diverse cross-sections of artists and activists throughout the country. Through one-day workshops, multi-day retreats, and month-long residencies, I have refined the art of using creative approaches to engage participants and catalyze transformative learning.
I am honored to support individuals ready to strengthen their own facilitation skills and bring their passions to their community.
If you are interested in having me facilitate your next staff retreat, community dialogue, or creative event, drop me a line here. If you’d like guidance to vision and lead your own offer, see below.
“Anya has an amazing ability to convert even the most skeptical participants at the beginning of a retreat into engaged members of a supportive community by the end of the day. I believe retreats with Anya are directly connected to staff retention and job satisfaction.”
— Elizabeth Stock, Outreach Coordinator, Boys & Girls Aid

"Without Anya’s guidance, I would not have had the confidence to offer my program exploring the use of acupuncture to address the trauma of racism. My work with Anya provided clear strategy, accountability, and emotional support to put this offer out into the world."
